Rebekah Eden - Growing as a Teacher in Literacy, an early career teacher at Kaurna Plains School in Adelaide in 2019, chats about her growth in the teaching of reading and writing in a Year 4,5,6 classroom of mostly Aboriginal students. Changing Learning Culture at Kaurna Plains School. Candace, a year 4,5,6 teacher, describes how she uses Read Alouds to give all her students access to language and literature. She has able to change the learning culture, improve comprehension, build their world knowledge and make connections across learning areas. It has benefits for students and also their families, and especially for reluctant readers.
