Diane's interview on ABC Radio on June 14th:
Principals and Literacy Leaders enjoyed a relaxing breakfast at the Adelaide Pavillion and afterwards heard from Australian and international literacy expert, Diane Snowball.
Diane presented a highly engaging session for education leaders that focussed on the most effective strategies for teaching reading and helped devise a clear plan to achieve success in schools.
Diane was a presenter on ABC TV's 'Revolution School' in 2016, and she is a key advisor to schools/governments in literacy education. See her extensive range of literacy education information on the Victorian Department for Education and Training's website at: http://www.digipubs.vic.edu.au/curriculum/effective-literacy-teaching/effective-literacy-teaching

'Word Work in Action' Feedback
A Teacher's key insights: "Where do I start? I always find these sessions engaging, informative (and entertaining!) This session particularly linked to a focus I have in my class, about vocabulary and word work, and I felt it could have been specifically talking about my class! Both presenters always talk about relevant 'in action' activities/approaches for 'real' classes.
Her translation to action: Some of the strategies discussed fit exactly what my students are needing, so I'll be trying some of these over the next 2 weeks. This has also given me some thinking points that I'll be reflecting on in my planning for literacy over the next month . . . it's been so valuable."
